why are you so mean, story.

I didn’t write that last chapter.

Now, I know I said I would, but you gotta understand… it was shit. The whole thing, from start to finish, was shit. Okay, well, maybe the first five chapters were good. But other than that, I totally lost the plot. Like, there wasn’t even one after those five chapters. I don’t know what I did! (Nothing, clearly! There isn’t even a story there!) So it’s back to the drawing board. I’ve got myself a revamped, completely overhauled plot. Same characters, similar dynamic, but this time I’m going to spend so much more time planning and Worldbuilding before I start writing. I want to make sure I keep the plot there, so when I go back to revise I actually know what I’m revising.

But I think the Worldbuilding is the main focus this time. I want to build a world that I can write heaps of stories in. Particularly Novellas. This first story is probably going to be a full-blown novel (maybe with a sequel, depending if I can get this plot worked out properly), but everything else I want to write for it will be the stories of bits of history that I’ve woven in (like Malidessa, the great Assassin from Alin who divided the World), or sections from some of my Character’s lives (particularly Aikanaro, but also King Hyronamus and his acquisition of one of the Five Items — better name to be thought up — and the formation of the Empire).

I want this world to be my greatest creation, one that I can play in and manipulate and even tear apart.

I’m pretty excited!
